A bit about the writer...
As a child you could often find me up my favorite tree resting on a faithful branch. My knees pulled up and a book resting on my lap. I'd be lost for hours. Escaping to another world. My mom would have to yell me down for dinner.I tortured the neighbor kids with my fantastical ideas to write and perform plays. Mind you, I never acted. I know my limitations, and acting is one of them. I would write the screenplay and make my cast diligently learn their lines. After weeks of practice, we would preform for our parents and neighbors. (No, it wasn't my original idea, but one from Little Women.)
Years later I still dream. I dream that someday I will write a novel. Even if just for myself and family to enjoy. I dream that my words can change the world. I love writing, whether it's a short story, poem, or copy for a brochure or website. I love the challenge and the way that when words spill out onto a page just the right way, they can paint a picture.
